ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
The Sunkicks: Home for the Holidays is a high-energy, Broadway-style Christmas spectacular built around precision dance, powerhouse vocals, immersive video design, and holiday magic. Inspired by the grand tradition of classic American Christmas entertainment, the production combines a Rockettes-style precision kickline with a heartfelt original holiday story, contemporary production elements, and some of the season+rsquo;s most beloved music.
The production features a company of professional dancers, singers, and touring technicians performing in a fast-paced, visually driven theatrical experience designed for performing arts centers and major entertainment venues.
This is a non-union national tour running November through December 2026, with routing currently planned through Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. The tour is designed as a collaborative, team-oriented road environment with a lean but highly professional crew structure, modern automated show systems, strong production values, and an experienced producing team with a long history of successful live entertainment operations.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Head Electrician / Show Systems Engineer to lead the electrical, lighting, playback, video, and show control systems for the national tour.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong, organized, and solutions-oriented touring professional who can confidently manage show systems in a fast-paced road environment while working collaboratively with the touring production team and local crews.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and maintain QLab and timecode-based show playback systems.
Execute and maintain lighting, video, and show-control trigger systems.
Lead electrics load-in, focus, maintenance, and strike.
Maintain touring lighting systems, power distribution, DMX, networking, and data infrastructure.
Coordinate LED wall power and signal integration.
Troubleshoot show control, playback, lighting, and related production systems in real time.
Maintain reliable backup playback systems and manual override procedures.
Supervise and coordinate local electrics crews as needed.
Participate in all truck loading, unloading, and touring system pack organization.
Assist across production departments as needed to support efficient daily operations.
Maintain a high standard of organization, safety, reliability, and professionalism throughout the tour.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional touring or regional theatrical electrics experience preferred.
Experience with QLab, DMX/network systems, timecode, and show playback.
Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a touring production team.
Touring experience strongly preferred.
Comfortable working long, physically demanding production days in a fast-paced touring environment.
Ability to adapt quickly to varying venue conditions and local crew configurations.
TOURING EXPECTATIONS
All touring personnel are expected to actively participate in daily load-ins, strikes, truck loading and unloading, and general production setup and teardown.
This position requires a hands-on approach and a willingness to assist across departments as needed to support the overall success of the production.
Candidates should be comfortable with the physical and logistical demands of touring, including long production days, changing venues, varying local crew resources, and rapid transitions between performance locations.
COMPENSATION, HOUSING + TRAVEL
Weekly Performance Pay: $1,250 per week, paid bi-weekly.
Per Diem: $250 per week while on tour for meals and incidentals.
Housing: Double-occupancy housing will be provided for the full duration of the contract.
Travel: All company-related travel to and during the contract will be fully covered by the production, including travel associated with the tour routing.
Completion Stipend: A $400 travel stipend will be paid upon successful completion of the contract to assist with return travel home.
Tour Dates: November-December 2026.
Tour Routing: Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado, with routing designed to avoid overnight travel between performance cities whenever possible.
