Asolo Rep (LORT B) Florida's premier professional theatre and one of the most important cultural forces in the Southeastern US is seeking to fill its Audio/ Visual 2 position. This is an entry level sound Position is responsible for assisting Department head and A1 and running an audio track backstage during all shows. This is a full-time seasonal staff position which requires a candidate to be a resident of the community, modest relocation available. This position is under an IATSE 412 contract.

Essential Job Functions:
+Setting up and testing Wireless mics before each show
+Putting wireless mics on all actors before every show or working with Assistant Wig to put mics in hair
+Testing and troubleshooting the sound system prior to each show.
+Troubleshoot microphone issues in real time during shows
+Changer over/setup of sound equipment, and cue lights for each show assigned in the Rep
+Assist Sound Engineer in paperwork, load-ins and strike.
+Perform other assigned duties as general stage technician including work with sound, rigging, scenery and props.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+Basic understanding of mixing, and show control playback.
+Set -up and usage of wireless microphones, Avioms, and video playback and display.
+Familiarity with the equipment currently used within the field
+ Basic knowledge of electronics and trouble-shooting techniques.
Salary $23/hr + overtime +ndash; 40hr guarantee with a 35week contract guarantee with probable extension
