STAFFING NOTICE: The smash-hit burlesque comedy parody The Empire Strips Back will be coming to San Francisco. NX5 Theatrical is accepting submissions for (1) Wardrobe Tech.

POSITION: Wardrobe Tech.
We are only accepting applications from Wardrobe Crew local to the San Francisco area.
PAY: $150 per show, $28 per hour as Stitcher

Tech and Opening Week:
Wednesday, October 14: Stitching call, 10:00 am - 10:00 pm (lunch and dinner breaks)
Thursday, October 15: Stitching call, 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Saturday, October 17: Show track training, two shows - 5:00 pm call, 7:00 and 9:30 pm curtain
During Show Run:
Week 2
Wednesday, October 21 (Work Call + 1 show, 3:00 pm call, 7:30 pm curtain)
Saturday, October 24 (2 shows, 5:00 call, 7:00 and 9:30 curtain)
Week 3
Thursday, October 29 (Work Call + 1 show, 3:00 pm call, 7:30 pm curtain)
Saturday, October 31 (1 show, 5:00 call, 7:00 curtain)
Week 4
Thursday, November 5 (Work Call + 1 show, 3:00 pm call, 7:30 pm curtain)
Saturday, November 7 (1 show, 5:00 call, 7:00 curtain)
Sunday, November 8 (1 show, 2:00 pm call, 4:00 pm curtain) + Load Out (6:30 pm - 12:00 am)
During Show Run: The wardrobe tech works two days or three shows a week, typically Wednesdayor Thursday (one show and work call, 3:00 pm call) and Saturday. Work days are flexible based on candidate availability - if you are interested in the position but unavailable for all the listed dates, schedule adjustment can be discussed in the interview.

Tech: Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15
Open: Thursday, October 15
Close: Sunday, November 8
Job Responsibilities:
This position assists in the management of the day-to-day operations of the wardrobe stock and costumes. Duties include:
- Maintaining costumes under the direction of the Wardrobe Supervisor, including: making repairs, doing laundry, shoe polishing, latex mask and prosthetics maintenance.
- Assisting performers in dressing into costumes and facilitating quick changes during technical rehearsals, dance calls, and performances
- Entering and exiting stage between acts to do pickups, collect costume pieces, and assist performers.
- Fitting and altering costumes for cast members and subs when required.
- Maintaining the integrity of the production costume design.
- Assisting with inventory and organization of expendable items, gear, and tools as needed.
- Maintaining a calm, professional demeanor for performers in your care.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
- Experience working wardrobe crew on productions
- Experience working with costume machinery, hand sewing, and machine sewing
- Experience working with latex, silicone and foam a plus
This position consistently works: in darkened environments; with costume changes that include stooping, kneeling, or crouching; with costume machinery; ascending/descending stairs.
