About the Production
The Sunkicks: Home for the Holidays is a high-energy, Broadway-style Christmas spectacular built around precision dance, powerhouse vocals, immersive video design, and holiday magic. Inspired by the grand tradition of classic American Christmas entertainment, the production combines a Rockettes-style precision kickline with a heartfelt original holiday story, contemporary production elements, and some of the season+rsquo;s most beloved music.
The production features a company of professional dancers, singers, and touring technicians performing in a fast-paced, visually driven theatrical experience designed for performing arts centers and major entertainment venues.
This is a non-union national tour running November through December 2026, with routing currently planned through Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. The tour is designed as a collaborative, team-oriented road environment with a lean but highly professional crew structure, modern automated show systems, strong production values, and an experienced producing team with a long history of successful live entertainment operations.
The Sunkicks: Home for the Holidays is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Radio City Music Hall, the Rockettes, or any related organization or production.
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced and highly organized Stage Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, technical execution, and operational flow of the national tour. The Stage Manager serves as the primary operational leader on the road, calling all performances, maintaining show integrity, and coordinating seamless communication across cast, crew, and local venue staff.
Responsibilities
Serve as the central communication hub between touring cast, crew, production management, and venue representatives.
Call all cues (deck, lighting, video, audio) for rehearsals and performances with precision and consistency.
Create, update, and distribute daily schedules, rehearsal reports, performance reports, and paperwork.
Maintain the artistic and technical integrity of the production throughout the run of the tour.
Manage call times, deck safety, and backstage discipline during load-ins, soundchecks, performances, and strikes.
Foster a collaborative, respectful, and supportive road environment while maintaining high production standards.
Participate in daily loading/unloading, setup, and teardown of production equipment alongside the touring team.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience stage managing live theatrical productions, commercial tours, or large-scale musical revues.
Exceptional calling skills, strong leadership ability, and a proven track record of managing fast-paced environments.
Outstanding organization, high-level problem-solving abilities, and strong crisis-management skills on the road.
Experience working in touring environments or multi-venue runs is required.
Background with precision dance, high-tempo musical theatre, or automated track shows is strongly preferred.
Touring Expectations
All touring personnel+mdash;including stage management+mdash;are expected to actively participate in daily load-ins, strikes, truck loading/unloading, and general production setup and teardown. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced touring environment and assisting across departments as needed to support efficient daily operations.
Compensation + Tour Details
Salary: $1,000 +ndash; $1,250/week (Depending on experience)
Per Diem: $250 weekly per diem
Travel and touring accommodations provided
Non-union national tour
Dates: November 8, 2026 +ndash; December 23, 2026
Tour routing is designed with no overnight travel between performance cities whenever possible.
