Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (OTSL) is seeking an experienced and organized Wardrobe Manager to oversee the wardrobe operations for our children's opera JOSHUA'S BOOTS. To be performed at the Center of Creative Arts (COCA), located in St. Louis.

The Wardrobe Manager supervises wardrobe personnel, develops and maintains wardrobe paperwork, coordinates costume maintenance and laundry, manages quick changes, and ensures costumes are prepared, organized, and performance-ready. This position combines leadership, organization, costume maintenance, and backstage run-of-show responsibilities at COCA.

Due to the nature of the opera, many of the performers will be students ranging from middle school to college. Passing a background check to work with students is required.

JOB DUTIES / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
+ Supervising and training wardrobe crew members and dressers.
+ Creating and maintaining wardrobe paperwork, including run sheets, costume plots, preset lists, laundry schedules, and quick-change documentation.
+ Organizing backstage wardrobe operations, dressing rooms, and quick-change areas.
+ Maintaining costumes throughout the run through laundering, steaming, pressing, repairs, and coordination of dry cleaning.
+ Assisting performers with dressing and executing costume changes, including complex quick changes.
+ Collaborating closely with Costume Shop leadership, Stage Management, Designers, and other production departments.
+ Managing load-in and strike of costume elements.
+ Maintaining wardrobe supplies, equipment, and safe working practices.
+ Preserving the artistic integrity and consistency of costume designs throughout rehearsals and performances.
