The Post Theatre Company, located on the campus of Long Island University, is seeking overhire Scenic Technicians to assist with the build, assembly, installation, and strike of scenic elements for Fall 2026.

Open to local candidates only who must be available to work on campus at Long Island University in Brookville, NY.

Scenic Technicians will work alongside our production staff and student company members on a variety of scenic construction and installation projects. Duties may include basic carpentry, painting, assembling and moving scenery, and general shop support.

Previous theatrical or construction experience is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand and power tools, following instructions, working safely, and working collaboratively with students in a fast-paced production environment.

This is an overhire independent contractor position, with an expected workload of 35 to 40 hours per week during the listed duration. Work schedules will be determined based on production and shop needs.
