Empire Technical Fabrication is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team. The Production Manager oversees the full lifecycle of all fabrication and scenic art projects, including Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, TV and Film, and other custom machinery and specialty fabrication. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Bidding/ Portfolio Management: Includes preparing and submitting pricing, determining portfolio priorities, and tracking material and labor cost data
-Production Management: Includes coordinating resources between projects and interfacing with all departments
-Project Management: Includes documentation generation, internal and external communication, construction consultation, meeting management, quality control, and general schedule and scope management.
-Stock/ Inventory Management: Includes tracking stock needs, material costs, and reporting
-Purchasing Management: Includes procurement and budget tracking
-Trucking/ Logistics Management: Includes scheduling, coordination, and document generation for all internal and external trucking needs
-Process Management and Administration Needs
Ideal Requirements:
-Ability to read technical drawings and navigate AutoCAD
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Teams, SharePoint, and the standard Microsoft Suite
-Strong understanding of scenic construction and automation
-Ability to effectively prioritize, execute, and problem solve in a high-pressure environment and work efficiently within given time constraints; highly organized
-Ability to communicate ideas clearly
-Self-motivated; team oriented and highly collaborative work style
-Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
-Interest in building and streamlining a project management team
-Strong analytical thinking skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability
-Data-driven, disciplined, objective, and detail-oriented
-Acts as a business partner; sees the big picture and works through ambiguity and change
-Ability to be energetic, a critical thinker, skilled in driving process improvement
