Contract: Broadway League Modified Pink Contract
Compensation: $1,967 per week + All Applicable Overtime Per Broadway League Modified Pink Contract
Benefits: Per IATSE Broadway League Modified Pink Contract
Travel + Per Diem: Per IATSE Broadway League Modified Pink Contract

Position Summary
RIVERDANCE is looking for a Head Carpenter for our 2027 US National Tour Season. This is an IATSE Modified Pink Tour Contract. We are entering our 32nd year of an exceptional tour with a wonderful family of dancers and fantastic crew that comes back year after year.
The Head Carpenter will oversee the technical advance for each venue, payroll, and
communicating all needs to each department when arriving in each city. They are the primary contact for the truck drivers and make sure that the show moves on schedule. The Head Carpenter will work closely with the Company Manager to make sure the crew is taken care of and has their needs fulfilled when arriving either at hotels or venues.

Roles and Responsibilities
+bull; Advance all technical elements with input from the head electrician, head audio, head wardrobe, stage management, and company management
+bull; Coordinate trucking schedules with the lead driver
+bull; Oversee the load-in of a 56+rsquo;x28+rsquo; sprung floor
+bull; Oversee the hang of all soft goods
+bull; Oversee the hang of all chain motors
+bull; Install all scenic elements including platforms, steps, and masking flats
+bull; Work with stage management to ensure backstage is safe and navigable for all performers
+bull; Track crew hours and provide payroll sheet to Company Management and Production Management at the end of each week.
+bull; Communicate advance information with other department heads, as needed.
+bull; Prepare truck schedules for each move and stay in contact with the lead driver and dispatch to ensure the calls are followed.
+bull; Supervise the pack and unload of equipment from the 3 trucks the show moves with.
+bull; Coordinate local labor with venue production manager, local steward, and house carpenter. Ensure that the proper number of individuals is called to ensure a safe and efficient run, load-in, and load-out of all elements.
+bull; Sign off on local payroll in coordination with the company manager, ensuring that all labor charges are accounted for.
+bull; Work with stage management and department heads to maintain artistic integrity of Riverdance even in venues that are not entirely suitable to a +ldquo;normal+rdquo; layout.
The desired experience and qualifications for this position include:
+bull; Team player, able to work long hours in very close quarters with many different types of passionate personalities.
+bull; Understanding of the IATSE Pink Contract rules and guidelines.
+bull; Strong organizational skills.
+bull; Excellent communication skills via email, including keeping records of emails.
+bull; Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (or Google Sheets).
+bull; Experience working in AutoCAD.
+bull; Scenic carpentry experience. Including: woodworking, metalworking, basic mechanics, fabric repairs, etc.
+bull; Theatrical rigging knowledge including counterweight. Chain Motor repair skills are a bonus.
+bull; Excellent troubleshooting skills in high stress and time-sensitive environments
+bull; Minimum 3 years+rsquo; experience working on an IATSE Pink Contract touring production as a Carpenter. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
+bull; Minimum 1 years+rsquo; experience working on an IATSE Pink Contract touring production as a Head Carpenter.
+bull; Knowledge of, or experience in road venues throughout the country.
+bull; Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Candidate must have the ability to relate and work with people across varying cultural, educational, and social backgrounds.
