A1 for Disney+rsquo;s FROZEN: The Broadway Musical

Northern Stage, a LORT D 240 seat regional theater in White River Junction, VT, seeks an experienced A1 to join the performance of Disney+rsquo;s FROZEN: The Broadway Musical. Northern Stage produces a mainstage season, an education season, a New Works festival, and 4-6 other events year-round. This position reports directly to the Production Manager to execute approved designs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Program and operator the sound console plus QLab for the duration of the tech process and show run
- Execute pre-show audio/comms checks and post-show shutdown procedures
- Coordinate any necessary show-specific rentals
- Coordinate with the Audio Technician and Stage Management to provide rehearsal sound support as requested
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the amp room and sound storage spaces
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of practical sound needs
- Collaborate with the Electrics department regarding any video or lighting-related needs that interface with Sound via show control

Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience in professional theatrical sound engineering. A combination of education and professional experience will be considered
- Ability to mix shows with up to 20 wireless microphones
- Proficiency programming sound in QLab and the ability to run a Yamaha CL5
- In depth knowledge of signal flow, RF coordination, wireless microphone prep/maintenance, and the use of both digital and analog consoles
- Proven ability to evaluate and execute designer drawings
- Excellent communication and organization skills. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of theatrical safety conventions
- Knowledge of theatrical rigging standards and safety is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach challenges collaboratively
- Valid driver+rsquo;s license. The ability to drive a box truck is a plus
- Comfortable working at heights in excess of 20 feet in a lift and on a tension mesh grid
- Ability to safely lift 75 lbs
- BA or BFA in technical theater a plus

Job Type Full time, with some nights and weekends required
Contract Dates: 11/2/2026 - 1/3/2027
Compensation: $1,000/week
