Position Summary
50% Stagehand / 50% Scenic carpenter
Reporting to the Technical Director, this part-time position is responsible for the construction, load-in, maintenance, and strike of scenic elements required for theatrical productions.
This position will also be asked to be a part of the run crew for theatrical productions, including pre-show duties, scenery shifts during performances, and resetting at the end of the night.

+bull; Assist with scenery shifts and props during performances
+bull; End-of-night resetting for the next day+rsquo;s performance

+bull; Metalworking
+bull; Fabrication and assembly of scenic elements
+bull; Installation, repair and strike of scenery
+bull; Other reasonable duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies
+bull; 1-3 years experience with theatrical carpentry and construction
+bull; Ability to read hand-drafted and CAD/ VWX illustrated technical drawings
+bull; Willingness to adhere to deadlines
+bull; Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+bull; Ability to follow scene shop safety protocols per industry safety standards
+bull; Comfortable working at heights, including loading weight from a fly loft
+bull; Must be comfortable working in bucket and scissor lifts
+bull; Ability to climb and work from ladders
+bull; Ability to lift 20+ pounds regularly and 50+ pounds occasionally

Compensation
This is a part-time, nonexempt position earning $20.00 per hour for 20-30 hours per week for the duration of the engagement, and is eligible for paid sick time per Colorado Law.
