SCENIC CHARGE ARTIST - IMMEDIATE HIRE

POSITION SUMMARY: The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) in Florham Park and Madison, NJ is seeking a Scenic Charge Artist for the remainder of the 2026 season. Position will be responsible for prepping and painting all scenery and some properties as needed; assisting in maintenance of our 20,000 sq.ft. scene/paint/prop shop in a
clean, safe, and organized manner; supervising any over hire, intern, or volunteer paint labor; and managing shop supplies and receipts. Candidates must be familiar with all forms of scenic art, including brickwork and wood graining. Scenic Charge will collaborate with the Technical Director, Properties Supervisor, and Director of Production to schedule work and maintain a priority list.
