-- BACKGROUND --

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals (HPT) is America+rsquo;s oldest theater company and the third oldest in the world dating back to 1844. Made up of around 50 Harvard college undergraduates, HPT
produces an original, entirely student-written, composed, and produced musical, a true pun-filled
extravaganza.

Each year, the show runs for five weeks in Cambridge before our annual tour in New York City and Bermuda. Some of America+rsquo;s most prominent personalities first got their
start in the Pudding, including Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, JFK, Jack Lemmon, Alan Jay Lerner, and Rashida Jones.


HPT also bestows the annual Man of the Year and Woman of the Year awards on performers who have made lasting and impressive contributions to the world of entertainment. For Man of
the Year, past honorees include Paul Newman, Robert De Niro, Sean Connery, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Neil Patrick Harris, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Reynolds, and Paul Rudd. For Woman of the Year, past honorees include Katharine Hepburn, Meryl Streep, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia
Roberts, Scarlett Johansson, Amy Poehler, and Mila Kunis.

-- JOB DETAILS --

POSITION; Lead Carpenter (Non-Union)

DESCRIPTION: During a 2-week build period, January 12th , 2027 +ndash; January 15th, 2027 and January 18th , 2027 - January 22nd , 2027, the Lead Carpenter will assist the Hasty Pudding Tech Crew, an 11-person team of undergraduates, in executing the pre-made building plans in person
in the shop.

The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for taking initiative on build plans and being a source of experience and knowledge for the student build team.
Above all, the Lead Carpenter is someone who effectively maintains organization and is proficient in scenic carpentry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend set build in-person at Farkas Hall in Cambridge, MA from January 12th , 2027 +ndash; January 15th , 2027 and January 18th , 2027 - January 22nd , 2027.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in Theatre Carpentry is required.
- Experience working in a university or educational environment with students of varying carpentry ability is appreciated, but not required.
- An educational background in technical direction is appreciated, but not required.

COMPENSATION
Cash Compensation: $1500
