Merchandise/VIP Manager

Wild Kratts Live is a children's theatrical production based on the popular PBS Kids animated television series Wild Kratts, starring Chris Kratt and Martin Kratt. The show plays one or two shows a day, with a load-in and load-out each day, followed by overnight travel to the next venue. This is a one-truck show with a fast-paced schedule.

Description:

The Merchandise/VIP Manager will be the face at front of house representing the Kratt Brothers Company. This individual will manage all day-to-day tasks on the road pertaining to the setup and selling of merchandise as well as facilitating the VIP (meet and greet) sessions. Occasionally on tour, we get the privilege to work with Make-A-Wish and this role will help to facilitate those wishes. This position is ideal for someone who is outgoing, organized, enjoys interacting with patrons of all ages and thrives in (organized) chaos!

Tour Dates:

- October 12-19, 2026 (October 12 and 19 are tour travel dates)
- November 10-16, 2026 (November 10 and 16 are tour travel dates)
- January 19-25, 2027 (January 19 and 25 are tour travel dates)
- February 16-22, 2027 (February 16 and 22 are tour travel dates)
- March 30-April 5, 2027 (March 30 and April 5 are tour travel dates)

Responsibilities:

- Provide excellent customer service and relations for all patrons
- Daily retrieval and organization of merchandise from the trailer to the merchandise area at front of house
- Must be able to lift boxes up to 40lbs
- Set up of merchandise display, and setup of seller tools: computer, printer, etc
- Training and supervision of sellers at each venue daily
- Input the correct products into the system (we use atVenu) to ensure accurate inventory is kept
- Coordinate with venue representative day of for where meet and greet will be set up, followed by setting up meet and greet, and getting VIP wristbands to appropriate venue rep to distribute to patrons
- Facilitate VIP (meet and greet) sessions post show daily: one session on week days and two sessions on weekends This involves respectfully and comfortably communicating with patrons of all ages
- Communicate with Company Manager for all things merchandise and VIP. All advance work will be done by Company Manager
- Execute adhoc day to day tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Ability to maintain composure under pressure in a very fast paced environment
- Basic knowledge of atVenu is an asset
- Experience with merchandise sales
- Comfortable with organizing/managing people
- Touring experience a plus

Compensation:

Day rate: $350 to $475 D.O.E.

Per diem provided, some meals provided, accommodation and all travel costs are covered by the tour. Most dates are sleeper bus accommodation with hotels provided on select days depending on schedule and routing.
