$25-$30/hour non-exempt biweekly
The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) in Florham Park and Madison, NJ is seeking Scenic Charge Artists for the remainder of the 2026 season. Position will be responsible for prepping and painting all scenery and some properties as needed; assist in maintaining our 20,000 ft2 scene/paint/prop shop in a clean, safe, and organized manner; supervising any over hire, intern, or volunteer paint labor; and managing shop supplies and receipts. Candidates must be familiar with all forms of scenic art, including faux stone and wood surfaces, foam carving, and backdrop prep and painting. Scenic Charge will collaborate with the Technical Director, Properties Supervisor, and Director of Production to schedule work and maintain a priority list. STNJ is seeking candidates for any or all of the following productions and dates:
Ken Ludwig+rsquo;s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery +ndash; 6/15 through 7/17
Who+rsquo;s Afraid of Virginia Woolfe? +ndash; 7/27 through 9/11
Hamlet +ndash; 8/31 through 10/16
The Gift of the Magi +ndash; 10/19 through 12/11
