Bentley University's Arts and Performance Organization is seeking a choreographer for our fall production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Production will run from September to November 2026, with shows taking place during the weekend of November 19th. After the contract has cleared with the university a stipend of $1000 will be provided at the end of the production by the University. Housing and transportation will not be provided.
We are looking for candidates with experience working with college-aged students and students who have limited experience doing theater productions. Choreographers must be able to produce and instruct choreography that is appropriate for the collegiate age level but also accomplishable for a group of mostly beginner dancers with limited experience. They must also be willing to work with our Vice President of Production, an elected member of our organization in charge of all production aspects of the show (e.g. lighting, sound, props, costumes, hair + makeup, etc.). Their job is to help you execute your vision for the show within the means of our organization. They will also be collaborating with our Director and Director of Music. Preferred candidates reside in the greater-Boston area and have a flexible schedule.
