NCCA at Jean's Playhouse is seeking a replacement Production Stage Manager for its 2026 Summer Season, featuring HAIRSPRAY and FOOTLOOSE running in rotating repertory. This is a last-minute opening for an organized individual who can serve as the primary communication hub between the artistic, production, and management teams.
Responsibilities include maintaining rehearsal and performance schedules, recording blocking and production notes, distributing rehearsal reports, coordinating technical rehearsals, calling performances, and helping ensure the smooth operation of the season.
NCCA produces both shows through an intensive repertory process, including two weeks rehearsing both productions simultaneously, one week to tech HAIRSPRAY, one week of HAIRSPRAY performances while completing rehearsals for FOOTLOOSE, and a final week to tech and open FOOTLOOSE. Following opening, the company performs between three and five performances each week.
Dates: June 22 +ndash; August 23, 2026 (9 weeks). Ideally, the successful candidate would be available to arrive up to one week early and remain a few days following closing to assist with company arrivals, departures, season preparation, and strike.
Compensation: $450 per week, plus shared, dorm-style housing.
