STAGE MANAGER (Theater)
The smash-hit burlesque parody, The Empire Strips Back, at the Rio Hotel and Casino is seeking a Stage Manager sub.
THE SHOW

PAY
$150 per show, including training shows.
Shows are paid individually - double show days are paid as two shows.
Please note that this is a non-equity position.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
We are seeking a candidate to train for three shows the week of May 25 - 31, and to stage manage on:
Monday, June 1: 1 show, 6:00 pm call and 8:00 pm curtain
Monday, June 15: 1 show, 6:00 pm call and 8:00 pm curtain
The Stage Manager sub will be contacted for potential coverage by the Production Coordinator. This is not an on-call position, coverage can be accepted based on sub availability.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Monday: 1 Show, 6:00 pm call, 8:00 pm curtain
Tuesday: 1 Show, 6:00 pm call, 8:00 pm curtain
Wednesday: 1 Show, 6:00 pm call, 8:00 pm curtain
Thursday: Work Call and 1 Show, 3:00 pm call, 8:00 pm curtain
Friday: 2 shows, 5:00 call, 7:00 and 9:30 curtains
Saturday: 2 shows, 5:00 pm call, 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm curtains
Sunday: 1 show, 5:00 pm call, 7:00 pm curtain
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced theatrical Stage Manager to train as a sub for our Stage Management team. Previous stage management experience is essential, including show calling and managing a large cast.
Responsibilities include: show calling; producing nightly show reports; working with the on-site dance captain to facilitate daily schedules; running nightly full company pre-show meetings; working with the venue team to ensure a seamless experience for audiences from arrival to completion of each performance.
The Stage Manager must be respectful of others at all times, be safety conscious, and demonstrate a focus on team work and collaboration. Due to the sensitive nature of this production, which includes several topless acts, we demand a high level of professional conduct.
Please note: Water-based haze and strobing lighting effects are used during rehearsals and performances.
