Production Associate
Northern Stage, a LORT D 240 seat regional theater in White River Junction, VT, seeks an experienced Production Associate to join the full-time staff. Northern Stage produces a mainstage season, an education season, a New Works festival, and 4-6 other events year-round. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and works closely with visiting AEA and non-AEA Stage Managers to help coordinate stage management activities necessary to execute programming.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as an Production Associate on a minimum of 5 productions and Non Equity Assistant Stage manager on 1 Education Program show, with the possibility of Stage Managing special events and smaller educational presentations.
- Coordinate the purchasing of stage management materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for production.
- Maintain Green Room hospitality stock and supervise space cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all backstage areas and rehearsal studios.
- Assist the Production Manager and Lead Production Associate with the scheduling and calendar coordination of rehearsal studio and theater use.
- Assist in build, load-in, and strike when not actively stage managing.
- Provide support for events outside the mainstage and education seasons.
- Support other production departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in professional theatrical stage management. A combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Google Suite.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of theatrical safety conventions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach challenges collaboratively.
- Basic proficiency with hand and power tools and basic knowledge of theatrical lighting practices.
- OSHA General Industry 10-Hour certification a plus.
- Ability to read theatrical ground plans.
Valid driver+rsquo;s license.
- Comfortable working at heights in excess of 20 feet in a lift and on a tension mesh grid.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
- BA or BFA in technical theater a plus.

Compensation: $844/week, BOE, paid bi-weekly (overtime exempt)
