We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Director to join our production team in a dynamic performing arts environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of productions, ensuring artistic vision is executed safely, efficiently, and at a high professional standard.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative production leader who thrives in a fast-paced repertory setting and enjoys both building and executing live performances.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, typically ranging from $50,000 +ndash; $55,000 annually, plus benefits.
Technical Director (Full-Time Seasonal, Salaried with Benefits)
The Technical Director is a full-time seasonal, salaried position with benefits, reporting to the Artistic Director. This position works closely with all members of the production team, as well as the Artistic Director, Choreographers, and Ballet Masters, to facilitate the technical needs of company rehearsals and performances.
The Technical Director plays a key role in scenic builds, repairs, load-ins, show running, and load-outs, as well as managing the stage crew and ensuring safe and efficient execution of all productions. The role also supports the overall operations of the production department, including planning and coordination of production needs.
The Technical Director must be able to physically move and lift scenery and other objects weighing up to 70 lbs and work in a fast-paced production environment with changing technical demands.

Qualifications
+bull; Minimum of 3+ndash;5 years of professional experience in theatrical production, stage management, or technical direction (ballet, dance, or performing arts preferred)
+bull; Strong working knowledge of stage carpentry, rigging, lighting, and general production practices
+bull; Experience leading or supervising stage crew or production teams
+bull; Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, ground plans, and production paperwork
+bull; Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously
+bull; Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with artistic leadership, designers, and production staff
+bull; Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on performance and production schedules
+bull; Must be able to lift and move up to 70 lbs and perform physical production work as needed
+bull; Commitment to safety practices in all aspects of theatrical production
Preferred Qualifications
+bull; Experience in a ballet or dance company setting
+bull; Familiarity with touring productions or repertory schedules
+bull; Knowledge of basic lighting programming or sound operation
