Job Description:
Lecturer in Theatre Arts - Acting/Directing
The Department of English, Theatre, and World Languages of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke seeks applications for a Lecturer of Theatre beginning August 2026. The position will teach all levels of Acting and Directing. The position will also teach Introduction to Theatre during the academic year and direct at least one MainStage production.
Teaching responsibilities include Acting 1: Fundamentals, Acting II: Characterization, Play Direction, Theatre Practicum, Introduction to Theatre, and other theatre related courses in the successful applicant's areas of expertise.
Teaching load is twelve hours each semester, with reassigned time for directing assignment(s).
