Technical Swing +mdash; Pace Live

Pace Live is an international producer of touring productions across North America, the UK, Ireland, and Australia. We're accepting applications from experienced touring Tech Swings for both immediate placement and upcoming tours across the 2026+;27 touring schedule.

The Technical Swing is the broadest pair of hands on the tour. You're our cover across Lighting and Stage Management when someone's sick, rotating out, or taking a day off +mdash; and when you're not covering a role, you're running backstage support that keeps the show moving. This is the person who lets the rest of the crew get their day off, and the person we lean on when things don't go to plan.

What you'll do
Cover Lighting and Stage Management as required +mdash; stepping in for absence, illness, rotation, or day-off relief across the tech team
Audio cover a plus but not essential +mdash; tell us in your application if you can mix
When not covering a role: backstage support including wardrobe, quick-changes, merch, prop pre-sets, scene-change support, and general backstage ops
Enable crew rotation so the rest of the tech team gets regular days off across the tour
Full involvement in load-in and load-out at every venue
Be the flexible, adaptive, "whatever the day needs" presence on the road

What we're looking for
Solid touring experience across at least two of LX, AX, and SM +mdash; you don't need to be the best in each, but you need to be able to hold the seat (LX + SM preferred)
Comfortable calling a show from prompt copy, operating ETC lighting consoles, or both
Genuinely cross-disciplinary +mdash; curious about all departments, precious about none
Reliable, flexible, and unflappable
Happy working backstage on wardrobe and merch when not covering a technical role
Clean communicator, team player, low drama
Confident on load-in/out in non-union US touring venues

Pay + tour basics
Starting at USD $1,000/week (depending on experience) + $420/week per diem
Shared accommodation and all travel provided
Fast-paced touring schedule +mdash; frequent travel between cities and short engagements at each venue
