Lead Rigging Installer (ETCP Certified Preferred)
iStudio Projects, Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated, and safety-focused Lead Rigging Installer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a hands-on field leader with strong theatrical rigging installation experience who can supervise crews, coordinate daily jobsite activities, and actively participate in installations.
Our work includes theatrical and entertainment rigging systems such as counterweight systems, pipe grids, motorized rigging, fire curtains, drapery systems, and custom specialty equipment. Projects are primarily located throughout Texas and surrounding states.
Position Summary
The Lead Rigging Installer is a working supervisor responsible for leading field crews, organizing daily work tasks, maintaining jobsite safety, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. This role serves as a key liaison between field operations, project management, customers, and other trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise installation crews in the field
- Plan, prioritize, and execute daily work activities
- Install theatrical rigging systems, drapery systems, and related equipment
- Read, interpret, and mark up shop drawings, blueprints, and field drawings
- Perform layout, installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments
- Verify installed components for accuracy and quality
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, customers, and other trades
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and communication updates
- Enforce company and customer safety standards at all times
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
- Safely operate lifts, ladders, hand tools, and power tools
- Identify and resolve field challenges proactively
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience installing theatrical, entertainment, or architectural rigging systems
Required:
- Experience with theatrical counterweight rigging systems
- Prior leadership or crew supervision experience preferred
- Ability to work hands-on while directing others
- Ability to read technical drawings and installation details
- Experience anchoring equipment to concrete and structural steel
- Comfortable working at heights and operating aerial lifts
- Familiarity with motorized rigging systems preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and jobsite decision-making ability
- Basic computer skills for communication and documentation
- ETCP Certification preferred but not required
- Willingness and ability to travel for projects
- Reliable vehicle required
