Position Summary
The Composites Technician is responsible for producing high-quality composite parts, molds, and tooling using a variety of materials, processes, and equipment. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Position Responsibilities
+middot; Produce composite elements using hand layup methods and machine/chopper gun spray techniques
+middot; Manufacture FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) and silicone molds from foam sculpts
+middot; Cut, trim, and process composite tooling and finished parts
+middot; Properly prepare parts for spray coatings and final assembly
+middot; Use HVLP spray systems to apply mold releases, primers, and other coatings
+middot; Apply polyurethane hard-coat systems to foam sculpts
+middot; Develop and maintain a working knowledge of commonly used composite materials
+middot; Properly care for and maintain materials, tools, and equipment to maximize usable lifespan
+middot; Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
General Responsibilities
+middot; Achieve and maintain working knowledge of Company operational software
+middot; Accurately complete and track production elements using company quality control (QC) documentation
+middot; Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for all assigned tasks
+middot; Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
+middot; Consistently meet the Company+rsquo;s expected quality standards
+middot; Effectively multitask and prioritize objectives to meet production deadlines
