JOB OVERVIEW
This dual-track role supports the Lead Draper in pattern creation and cutting, while serving as the primary Cutter/Draper on select projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Assist the Lead Draper in creating patterns and grading them to various sizes.
Serve as the lead Cutter/Draper on designated projects or when the Lead Draper is unavailable.
Prepare alterations from fittings for Stitchers and help supervise shop sewing.
Create patterns for facings and linings based on original draper patterns.
Attend fittings to assist the Draper and take detailed alteration notes.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of costume construction and basic pattern drafting skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and follow through on individual projects.
Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30 lbs.
Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver+rsquo;s license are preferred.
