Henegar Feller Education Director:
Fulltime Salaried Role: Salary range $48-$50k
Flexible start date between June and Sept 2026

The Education Director is primarily responsible for creating, managing, and overseeing all of our Feller student programming. This will bridge pre-k through High school aged students. A background in education/theatre education and child behavior is highly preferred. The Education Director will work closely with the Executive Director to determine programing, titles, contracting shows, determining show budgets and setting production quality and standards. They will report directly to the Associate Artistic Director for support and program problem solving. Listed below are the core responsibilities and not a full breakdown of the role with other duties as assigned and discussed at the interview based on each candidate+rsquo;s unique skills.
+middot; Create a positive theatrical environment for our students to learn and grow as performers in a safe and welcoming space.
+middot; Select and contract appropriate show titles for each age group based on capability and design.
+middot; Assemble production teams and contracted talent; choreographers, vocal directors, lighting, sound, guest directors etc.
+middot; Provide leadership, direction and day to day tasking to Feller program intern.
+middot; Create and maintain spreadsheets and production notes shared with entire team.
+middot; Communicate with Parents and Guardians of students. Update schedule and program changes. Discuss specific needs for student involvement. Report and handle individual student behavior challenges.
+middot; Order props, set pieces, costumes and other production needs for each show.
+middot; Work with Feller Intern to costume each production.
+middot; Direct the majority of all student programing. May contract 1 to 2 outside Directors for specific projects based on timing/schedule. Oversee Guest Director and assure their show production quality.
+middot; Create plan for build set up timeline, assist with strike and returns to inventory.
+middot; Comfortable speaking in front of groups including curtain speeches and special events.
+middot; Assist with other areas of Production as needed. Other duties as assigned.
