Position Overview
Pixelumen is looking for an Over Hire Field Service Technician to support project-based work in the field. This role is ideal for a skilled lighting technician who can step in during key project phases to assist with system programming, commissioning, lighting focus and on-site troubleshooting. Responsibilities could include configuring, commissioning, and programing lighting control systems for architectural environments. This role involves onsite troubleshooting, creating, and scheduling scenes.

Key Responsibilities
+bull; System Programming
Configure lighting controls and software (e.g, ETC Eos, Pharos, Mosaic) to create scenes, fades, and automation.
o Commissioning + Testing
Perform on-site installation, testing, and debugging of DMX and networked lighting systems to ensure full functionality.
+bull; Lighting Focus
o Focusing on architectural lighting fixtures.
+bull; Collaboration
o Work closely with lighting designers, architects, and project teams to realize the aesthetic and functional vision.
+bull; Documentation
o Prepare and maintain technical documentation including lighting plots, cue lists, and system manuals.

Skills and Qualifications (desirable but not required)
+bull; Technical Proficiency
Strong understanding of lighting protocols such as DMX, DALI, and Art-Net, along with control systems and software.
+bull; Experience
Previous experience in architectural lighting, entertainment lighting, or system integration environments.
+bull; Troubleshooting Ability
Skilled in diagnosing and resolving hardware, networking, and control system issues on-site.
+bull; Education
Background in Technical Theater, Lighting Design, or related field preferred.
+bull; Software Skills
AutoCAD, Vectorworks,
