Each performance is 2 hours, inclusive of a 15-minute intermission. Monday/Tuesday are the production's designated days off.
The Wardrobe Tech may be contacted for additional coverage as the Wardrobe Supervisor+rsquo;s sub. This is not an on call position.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Wardrobe Tech to work as a stitcher and assistant on Wednesdays and Saturdays during our run in Denver. This position will work under the direction of the Wardrobe Supervisor.
The Wardrobe Tech will also train as the sub for the Wardrobe Supervisor on their show track. Training will be provided during a Saturday show call.
This position assists in the management of the day-to-day operations of the production+rsquo;s wardrobe stock and costumes and maintains the artistic integrity and vision of TESB.
Duties include:
+bull; Maintaining costumes under the direction of the Wardrobe Supervisor, including: making repairs, doing laundry, shoe polishing, latex mask and prosthetics maintenance.
+bull; Assist performers in dressing into costumes and facilitate quick changes.
+bull; Entering and exiting stage between acts to do pickups, collect costume pieces, and assist performers.
+bull; Maintain a calm, professional demeanor for performers in your care.
+bull; Fit and alter costumes for new cast members when required.
+bull; Maintain the integrity of the production+rsquo;s costume design.
(Please note: Water-based haze is used during some rehearsals and all performances.)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
Experience working wardrobe crew on productions
Experience working with costume machinery, hand sewing, and machine sewing
Experience working with latex, silicone and foam a plus
Must have a team-oriented personality, be respectful of others at all times, and be safety conscious for yourself and for others. Due to the nature of the production, we expect a high level of personal and professional conduct and ask that all employees abide by our production-specific HR handbook and social media guidelines.
This position consistently works: in darkened environments; with costume changes that include stooping, kneeling, or crouching; with costume machinery; ascending/descending stairs.
