Weston, VT
Position: Associate Producer
Reports To: Executive Artistic Director
Overview:
Weston Theater Company (WTC) is celebrating its 90th anniversary season in 2026 and is seeking an energetic and responsive individual to fill the newly created role of Associate Producer. Reporting directly to the Executive Artistic Director and working closely with the General Manger, the Director of Production and Operations, and the Head of Community Logistics, the Associate Producer will serve as line producer on all WTC+rsquo;s annual season productions (currently three productions at their home at Walker Farm), oversee the Young Company and its annual touring production, support special performances and events, and take a lead in coordinating details for WTC+rsquo;s new creative residency initiatives that will launch in the Fall of 2026.
Background:
With a 90-year legacy, Weston Theater Company (WTC) is the oldest professional theater in the State of Vermont. Located in the picturesque village of Weston, we produce a robust schedule of blockbuster musicals, classic plays, and groundbreaking original works from June to September. From October to May, our focus turns to new play development and artist retreats, as well as a winter cabaret and a variety of presentations including concerts.

The successful candidate will be passionate and engaged about theater+rsquo;s art and artistry and will also demonstrate a willingness to help other departments to fulfill WTC+rsquo;s mission: to create theater to engage, entertain, and inspire our ever-expanding community.
Weston Theater Company is located in rural southern Vermont. Having an appreciation for nature and a quiet small-town vibe is essential. What Weston lacks in population density, public transportation, and urban conveniences is offset by the beauty of 400,000 acres of national forests, lakes, quintessential general stores, and a caring community.

Participating in the planning and execution of all productions, including supporting casting, creative team offers and communications, and script development;
Working closely with the Production and Operations Manager to support creative and production teams prior to and throughout the production process, including supporting design meetings, rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and previews;
Participating in season planning, maintaining and cultivating artistic and industry relationships for WTC, and managing the residency program (outlined further below);
Coordinating communications and logistics for the development of the Artistic Council, currently in process;
Working alongside the Head of Community Logistics to ensure a warm welcome and strong sense of hospitality for participants in the residency program and seasonal artists;
Supporting the annual Young Company production by overseeing auditions and casting, securing touring locations for WTC+rsquo;s Young Company productions, and serving as an advisor for WTC+rsquo;s Young Company and Young Professionals programs each summer;
Supporting education and lifelong learning activities, and participating in community access activities;
Working with WTC+rsquo;s Casting Director to ensure an effective casting schedule and that all expenses are paid in a timely manner;
Working with the General Manager to support the licensing and contracting processes for productions, workshops, and readings.
