Seeking experienced stage manager. Preference given to applicants with experience working on musicals. Must be comfortable acting as light board operator.
Stage Manager reports to the Program Director and Artistic Director.
Stage Manager agrees to attend all rehearsals, production meetings, load in, load out, performances as may be scheduled by the Producer and/or Director and/or Program Director. In addition, Stage Manager shall be available for consultations and meetings with Producer and/or Producing Staff.
Stage Manager agrees to manage pre-production duties, including creating/maintaining production paperwork (rehearsal schedule, contact sheet, breakdown, etc.), script distribution, space preparation, taping the set, and other duties agreed upon with the Director and/or Program Director.
Stage Manager agrees to manage rehearsal duties, including unlocking + locking rehearsal hall, calling breaks, maintaining prompt book, blocking notation, recording and communicating production notes, detailed rehearsal reports, coordinating costume fittings, coordinating photo calls and promotional appearances, and other duties agreed upon with the Director and/or Program Director.
Stage Manager agrees to manage tech rehearsal duties, including crew organization + supervision, backstage procedures + organization, crew + cast (+ orchestra) calls, notating all production cues before the first Tech Run, and other duties agreed upon with the Director.
Stage Manager agrees to manage the performance duties, attending to unlocking + locking all performance areas, crew + cast calls, warm-ups + notes, technical systems checks, presets, coordination with House manager for go + stop times, show cue calls, detailed performance reports, and other duties agreed upon with the Director.
Stage Manager agrees to return all materials (scripts, scores, office supplies, keys, etc.) in the condition they were received. Replacement costs of any materials may result in paycheck deduction.
Stage Manager will assist the Technical Director in the safe and efficient operation of strike following the final performance.
