Art Installation Technician

$25-40/hr +middot; 40 hrs/week +middot; Mon+ndash;Fri +middot; 6+ndash;8 weeks +middot; Starting week of April 1

OSHA 30 IS A KEY REQUIREMENT

Custom metal fabrication company is seeking a skilled and reliable technician for a contract position supporting a permanent public art installation. This is a hands-on, physical role requiring careful attention to detail and situational awareness while assembling metal sculptural components on site.


Key Responsibilities / Skills

Installation of art work elements per project specifications
Experience with fine art handling practices and fast pace production environments
Ensure a high degree of detail, focus and quality control
Use hand tools for assembly, rigging, and finishing tasks
Ability to lift and handle objects up to 50 lbs
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
Adherence to OSHA 30 safety protocols
Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead
Ability to operate a scissor lift (low elevation) a plus
Rigging experience and ability to read drawings a plus


Key Requirements

OSHA 30 certification required

Expertise in fine art installation
Proficiency with hand tools and attention to details handling delicate objects
