Portland Stage is looking for people that are passionate about using theater to connect communities, inspiring young people, and working as part of a collaborative team to create and support art. This position is a key member of the scenic department that is tasked with fulfilling the vision of the scenic designer and director within the limitations of our resources.

The ideal candidate is an experienced theater technician well versed in building theatrical productions. Candidates should be able to create construction drawings, be an expert builder and have some experience in budgeting shows. Familiarity with fly systems, fine woodworking skills and experience welding, are also desired. We encourage everyone to apply that feels that they are a good fit for the position, even if they lack some of the desired qualifications.

This is a full-time, salaried, benefits eligible position. Weekly schedule is typically Monday to Friday during the build phase and evenings and weekends during tech. Compensation is $860-1000/week.
