Seeking a Properties Designer for a small-scale Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) show with a limited number of properties this spring.

1st day of Rehearsal: April 20, 2026
Tech Rehearsals: May 4th and 5th, 2026, approx 9am - 5pm, exact times TBD
Opening: May 6th, 2026 at 10am
Closing: May 23rd, 2026

Expectations:
Design, source, build, alter and maintain all props and set dressing for the production.
Attend design and production meetings and technical rehearsals as scheduled by the Production Manager. Attend rehearsals as needed or requested by the Production Manager, Director, and/or Stage Manager.
Create and update props lists throughout production and rehearsal processes.
Acquire all props with the support of MPAC staff and inventory.
Coordinate transport and delivery of all items and the return of all rented or borrowed materials.
Address any major repairs or recurring issues as needed.
Track props budgets reconcile all expenses with accurate paperwork and itemized receipts.
Lead props strike, returns, and inventory restocking.
