Wolf Trap Opera is seeking qualified summer scenic carpenters to build and create sets for our 3 show summer season. Join us for a professional and exciting summer experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: Carpenters are responsible for safely executing all scenic elements, helping to mentor our Technical Theater Apprentices, helping to maintain a safe clean work area, load in and strike, and restoring the Barns at the end of the season.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and maintain all scenery for two opera productions in the Barns.
Provide production support for seasonal Opera productions.
Assist in the mentorship of all Technical Theater Apprentices.
Assist in the maintenance of the scene shop and Barns stage, including load in and strike of each production, and restoring the Barns at the end of the season.
