Job Description:The Paint Charge is a seasonal contract employee serving under the Technical Director. This position serves as the Paint Charge on all Springer Opera House productions for the duration of the contract.


PAINT CHARGE will serve as principal Paint Charge on all productions of the 2026-2027 season. Shows include Dreamgirls, Covenant, Frozen, The Mountaintop, Pretty Woman, Shakespeare in Love, and Lady Day at Emerson's Bar + Grill.

PAINT CHARGE will work with the Scenic Designer and Technical Director to plan, schedule, and complete all elements of scenic painting needs for each production.

PAINT CHARGE will organize, clean, and maintain the Springer Opera House Paint Room.

PAINT CHARGE will prepare, protect, and clean all tools needed for each project.

PAINT CHARGE will report to the Technical Director and perform all duties as assigned.

PAINT CHARGE will work during hours and days determined by the Technical Director.

PAINT CHARGE will provide for the safe use and operation of Springer technical equipment and systems.

PAINT CHARGE will support facility rentals, providing for the highest possible standards of service for Springer Customers.

PAINT CHARGE will perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Director.

PAINT CHARGE will support and adhere to all policies and procedures of the Springer Opera House.
