Are you the person who stays calm when the clock is ticking and the floor plan is changing? Do you have the "shop hands" to build custom decor and the leadership skills to manage a crew on-site?
Studio J Events LLC is a high-end Bay Area Event Production company seeking dedicated Event Leads. We are looking for long-term team members for this permanent, full-time position. This is a hybrid role for someone who is half-maker and half-manager. You+rsquo;ll be involved in the entire lifecycle of a project+mdash;from the initial build in our workshop to the final strike at the venue.

Position Overview
Status: Full-Time / Permanent
Rate: Starting at $26/hour (Commensurate with experience)
Hours: 30+ hours per week
Start Date: Positions available for onboarding are ongoing
Location: Hybrid role working in our Bay Area workshop and on-site at various event venues for setup and load-out.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics + Loading: Oversee the strategic packing of trucks. You+rsquo;ll be responsible for the safe transport of props, walls, and decor+mdash;and getting that 26' truck to the dock safely.
Crew Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of technicians and laborers during load-ins and strikes.
Hands-on Production: Work in the warehouse building props, custom walls, and scenic elements alongside the fabrication team.
On-Site Execution: Act as the point person on-site to troubleshoot installation challenges and ensure the client's vision is met.
Quality Control: Inspect all decor and custom designs before they leave the shop and once they are installed at the venue.

Requirements
The Pilot: A valid current driver+rsquo;s license and a clean record are mandatory. You must have the confidence to navigate and park 26' box trucks in urban environments.
The Captain: Previous experience leading crews in event production, theater, or logistics.
The Maker: General carpentry or fabrication skills (you should be comfortable with power tools and assembly).
The Fixer: The ability to look at a floor plan and a pile of gear and figure out the most efficient way to make it look perfect.
Mobility: Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA and be able to commute to our shop and various local sites.
Stamina: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for long shifts.
