Lighting Designer +ndash; Spring Youth Theatre Productions (Star2B)

Star2B is seeking a Lighting Designer for our Spring 2026 youth theatre season. We+rsquo;re a collaborative program producing shows with elementary, middle, and high school performers, and we+rsquo;re looking for a designer who enjoys working in an educational environment and creating strong looks with a small but flexible lighting system.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys storytelling through lighting, working efficiently during tech, and helping young performers shine onstage.

Venue / Equipment
+bull; Small school auditorium (~200 seats)
+bull; ETC Element console
+bull; Approximately 30 conventional fixtures
+bull; Primarily rep plot (can be refocused before or during tech)

Cue-to-Cue
Cue-to-cue with the Director will be scheduled prior to each tech week (virtual or in-person depending on availability).

Performances: April 25 + 26 (2 shows each day)

Something Rotten Jr. (Middle School Cast)
Tech Week: May 25+ndash;29
Performances: May 30 + 31 (2 shows each day)

Pippin (High School Cast)
Tech Week: June 1+ndash;5

Compensation
Pay rate based on experience. Please include your rate or expectations when responding.

We are especially interested in finding someone available for the final two productions (Something Rotten Jr. and Pippin), though designers interested in the full season are welcome to apply.
