About Georgia Stage
Georgia Stage is a family-owned theatrical rigging and drapery company with over 30 years of experience serving performing arts venues, schools, churches, and entertainment spaces throughout the Southeast and beyond. We design and install permanent theatrical rigging systems and manufacture custom stage curtains and theatrical drapery in-house. Our team includes ETCP-certified riggers, technical directors, and production professionals who take pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and the kind of responsive service that comes from people who genuinely understand live performance spaces.
About the Role
We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our installation crews as Drapery Installers. You'll work alongside experienced riggers and technicians to install stage curtains, drapery, and related soft goods at performing arts venues, schools, churches, and other entertainment spaces across the Southeast. No specialized experience is required; we'll teach you what you need to know. What we can't teach is a good attitude and a strong work ethic, and that's what matters most.
What You'll Do
-Install stage curtains, drapery tracks, and soft goods systems at job sites throughout the Southeast
-Work as part of a crew under the direction of a lead installer or project manager
-Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment
-Use hand and power tools to complete installation tasks safely and accurately
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites
-Communicate clearly with your crew and supervisor about progress and any issues
-Represent Georgia Stage professionally at client sites
Who You Are
-Reliable: you show up on time, ready to work, every day
-Hardworking: you're not afraid to get your hands dirty and take pride in doing the job right
-Positive: you work well with others and bring a good attitude to the team
-Willing to learn: you're open to being trained and taking direction
-Safety-minded: you follow safety procedures and look out for yourself and your coworkers
Required Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Valid driver's license
-Ability to travel regionally for multi-day installations (travel and lodging covered)
-Comfortable working at heights and in construction environments
-Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in construction, general labor, or a related trade
-Background in theater, live events, or entertainment production
-Experience using hand and power tools
-Familiarity with rigging or soft goods installation
Why This Role
You'll be part of a tight-knit team that takes real pride in its work. Every project is different; one week you're installing a grand stage curtain in a performing arts center, the next you're outfitting a school auditorium or a church sanctuary. If you want a job where you can build real skills, work alongside people who know their craft, and see the results of your work every day, this is a great place to start.
Compensation and Benefits
$22.00/hour, standard benefit package. Travel, lodging, and per diem covered for regional work.
Location and Hours
Based in Duluth, GA with regional travel. 40 hours per week, with some projects requiring overnight travel.
