Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for working closely with Technical Design personnel, Fabrication Shop staff, Sales Associates, and Rental Leads to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner while remaining within budget. Project Managers are also key members of the Fabrication team and responsible for final assembly, testing, and packaging of all projects assigned to them. An understanding of fabrication techniques and hand tools is a must. This role can potentially include onsite time with clients and artists, leading crew, and delivering projects.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position and is eligible for PTO, health insurance, and participation in the company+rsquo;s 401(k) program in accordance with company policy following the applicable waiting period.



Essential Duties + Responsibilities:

Operate in accordance with established standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
Develop and execute project scope, objectives, and timelines, ensuring adherence to budgetary and time constraints
Develop and maintain a detailed plan to track progress and use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Review, approve, and utilize Technical Design documents in the construction of staging and equipment
Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects
Source job-specific materials and ensure availability, procurement, and allocation
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Measure project performance using appropriate software, tools, and techniques
Oversee final assembly, testing, quality control, and packaging of custom fabrication projects prior to shipping or delivery
Achieve the creation of high-quality Versa gear that represents the company well in the global staging market
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Support team development by providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced Project Managers


Qualification Requirements:

4+ years of experience in project, production, or fabrication management
An undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field with a solid technical background and hands-on experience in project design, manufacturing, or installation may be considered in lieu of experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the live entertainment industry
Proven track record of managing profitable projects
Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects
Knowledge of touring, equipment, staging, and production setup, including rigging standards and terminology
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD programs including Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Inventor, and SketchUp, as well as budgeting, planning, and Gantt chart software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work within strict timelines and established budgets
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Ability to adapt to and resolve unforeseen challenges
Background in fabrication, including machining, welding, and carpentry, is a plus
Possession of a valid passport and willingness to travel nationally or internationally for extended periods, as required by project needs
Ability to reliably commute to job sites and work locations as required
Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed during peak business cycles
