Up to 20 weeks of scenic painting, sculpture, texture and other finish work for a five-show repertory opera festival. Applicants must have at least three years of professional experience and must submit application, portfolio, and resume to be considered. Seasonal Staff Scenic Artist positions vary from entry level to higher level painters. Rates start at $22.00 per hour with overtime at time and a half after the 40th hour.

Scenic Painter responsibilities include the painting and finishing of all scenic elements, including covering, priming, texture work, sculpting and applying scenic details. Applicants should have the ability to mix and match colors, knowledge of scenic art materials, tools and techniques, as well as basic craft skills involved in production.

Optional seasonal staff housing is available through the Opera. Staff are expected to maintain availability through the end of the letter of agreement.
