The Stage School is seeking a Lighting Designer and Board Operator for our upcoming production of The Little Mermaid Jr at Christian Heritage Academy in Northfield.

Load in/Tech: Friday April 24, 4-7 pm

Performances: April 25 + 26 (3 shows - Sat 12:30/6:30 + Sunday 5 PM)

Compensation: $1,000 project stipend

Responsibilities:
The Lighting Designer will set lighting cues for the production based on the house lighting package. The 900+ seat theater at Christian Heritage Academy is equipped with a Jands Vista T2 lighting console, as well as a large variety of ETC elipsoidals with different lenses, pars, and parnels, older scoops, and Frenels, 8 Mac 600NT moving heads, and 6 led pars.

The venue good general coverage in several zones on the stage, making it fairly easy to customize looks and cues without moving fixtures. Lights can be programmed on Friday during our load in time from 4-7pm. Each performance features a different cast, so a final dress rehearsal with full tech will be held in the space immediately before each performance. Call time on Saturday is 9am and the day runs through 8:30 PM. Call time on Sunday is 1:00 pm and the day ends around 7pm.

The production will use projected digital scenery, and the Lighting Designer runs both light and projection cues during dress rehearsals and performances.

Projection cues are licensed as a package from Broadway Media. Broadway Media requires us to use their software "StagePlayer" for control, which we will have pre-loaded on a laptop.

Lighting Designer will be required to attend an online design meeting with production staff, and rehearsal as needed to determine cues prior to load in. Rehearsals meet on Saturdays between 10 AM +ndash; 5 PM and Sundays between 1-4 PM through April 19th in Park Ridge.
