Head Electrician, SUFFS National Tour - IATSE League-SET Pink Contract position with a base weekly salary of $1,800 + all applicable overtime

Position overview:
The Head Electrician works with the Assistant Electrician (Frontlight Operator) to safely and consistently run, move, and maintain all LX + Atmospheric elements associated with the SUFFS National Tour.

Role + Responsibilities:
-Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
---Lead all interdepartmental communication that pertains to the LX Department
---Advance communication with upcoming venues to ensure all LX needs will be met
---Lead department load-in and loadout, as well as ML + conventional focus
---Consistently run and maintain the lighting of the show by operating the LX Console for performances
---Maintain/repair all departmental equipment to the highest standards
---Manage local union LX crew at each show stop for load-in, load-out, and performances
---Work with Production Electrician, Technical Supervisor, and Head Carpenter to manage departmental maintenance, equipment replacements, + swing/vacation schedules
---Confirm weekly payroll with Head Carpenter

Qualifications:
---2+ years as Head Electrician on National Tour (preferably on IATSE contract) desired
---Experienced with:
---ETC Eos family console operation, including focus + patching
---Data Network management +ndash; Pathway connectivity +ndash; switches, gateways, nodes, MSC
---Fixture Maintenance and repair--Martin, Ayrton, ETC
---Wireless Dimming +ndash; CTI Multiverse
---Willing to work an 8-show a week schedule in tandem with the load-in/out schedule
---Must be able to work around loud sounds and flashing lights.
---Willingness to work in dark often cramped/ closed spaces.
---Strong ability to lead and instruct a crew of up to a dozen people, with varying skill levels.
---Able to physically lift 75 pounds, comfortable lifting and walking backwards, comfortable walking up and down stairs. -----Excellent practical, problem-solving, organizational, planning and time management skills.
