A four-show repertory model keeps Opera Theatre of Saint Louis fresh and dynamic. Our production team brings together seasoned professionals and emerging talent, working side by side in our build shops and 987-seat theater. Uniting artists at different stages of their careers is central to our mission to cultivate the next generation of production professionals.

STITCHERS: Previous costume construction experience is required. Stitchers work with a First Hand to implement the construction plan for each costume as assigned by their Draper and the Costume Shop Manager.

Primary responsibilities include assembling costume pieces, repairing and altering costumes, responding to notes, and participating in general shop activities.

Stitchers may be assigned periodic night and weekend work as determined by the Costume Shop Manager. Physical requirements include repetitive motion, lifting up to 50lb, sitting or standing for long periods of time, and operating moving machinery (sewing machine, serge machine, etc.)
