Position Overview:
BOOP Touring LLC is seeking an Assistant Company Manager for the National Tour of BOOP! The Musical. Based on characters created by Max Fleischer, Betty Boop longs for an ordinary day off from fame in her black-and-white world. What she finds is an extraordinary adventure of color, music, and love in New York City!
The Assistant Company Manager reports to the show's Company Manager to provide support on all aspects of management on a touring production.
Role and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Advancing logistics and overseeing Box Office/House Seat needs
- Assisting with nightly Box Office statements
- Developing local market data sheets
- Coordinating company travel and housing
- Arranging logistics for visiting creative and design team members
- Processing workers comp claims and assisting with insurance needs
- Processing weekly commissions and payments
- Coordinating company parties and events
- Monitoring the overall health and well-being of all touring personnel
- Performing other related administrative duties and assignments
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in company management, theatrical office, production setting, or large-scale event coordination.
- Must have a valid passport for international travel.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative and organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational and computer skills.
- Ability to multitask projects in a high stress environment, paying close attention to detail.
Work Environment:
This role is expected to help create a professional work environment and is required to work in a variety of locations and venues. Must be able to travel, and work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to adapt to multiple buildings / theater venues. Must be able to travel in multiple modes of transportation, including planes, trains, charter and sleeper coaches, and cars.
Salary:
Performance salary starting at $1,100/week and commensurate with experience. Rehearsal/Prep salary starting at $900/week.
Benefits, Travel + Housing:
Assistant Company Manager also receives a percentage of Producer's share of overage, weekly expense allowance of $315 per week, producer-provided health plan, producer-provided transportation and single occupancy housing.
