The Great River Shakespeare Festival is looking for a Props Assistant for this upcoming repertory season of Pericles and A Midsummer Nights Dream. Must be available from 5/15/2026-7/29/2026. Housing is included.

The Props Assistant works alongside the Props Designer to create and modify all props for both mainstage shows. During technical rehearsals and performances the Assistant will transition to Props Crew and run the props track backstage. They will also be responsible for all props changeovers and maintaining all props throughout the show run.

Job duties include:
- Assist in the creation and modification of all props

- Assist the Props Designer with tracking of receipts

- Maintain props throughout the season

- Participate in props run crew throughout the run of shows

Qualifications:
This job requires someone who is punctual, able to take direction, and work independently.

- At least two years of collegiate or professional experience in props design/construction or equivalent experience

- Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools safely

- Creativity and knowledge of basic mediums to solve challenges

- Basic scenic painting experience

- Basic sewing skills

- Run crew experience

- Organizational and time management skills
