POSITION: CARPENTER OVERHIRE
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
COMPENSATION: $ 21.00 - 24.00 hourly
STATUS: Contract, Seasonal
START DATE: ASAP


ABOUT THE POSITION
Carpenter Overhire will assist with building and assembling scenic elements for the upcoming production of Death of a Salesman and Exit the King. Carpenter will support our Technical Coordinator and Master Carpenter with strike and load out of the current production; the load-in of the set for the upcoming production; they will assist with notes assigned to them by Master Carpenter during Load-in and/or Tech. This position will report to the MC and Tech Coordinator.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
-1-3 years of carpentry skills minimum needed
-Welding experience plus
-Theatrical Rigging
-Interpret and understand construction and designer drawings
-A positive attitude
-Good communication skills
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
-Must be able to work from heights on ladders, mechanical lifts, catwalks, etc.

Directed by Julia Rodriguez-Elliott
Strike: March 8th (previous show's closing)
Load-in: March 9th +ndash; March 13th
Tech notes: March 16th, 19th and 20th

Exit the King by Eugene Ionesco
Directed by Michael Michetti
Strike: April 19th (previous show's closing)
Load-in: April 20th +ndash; April 24th
Tech notes: April 27th, 30th and May 1st

Shifts are typically Monday +ndash; Friday 8am-5pm. Please note that the times and dates are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. The Production Manager will confirm your schedule with you as we approach the load-in and tech weeks.
