POSITION: ELECTRICIAN OVERHIRE
REPORTS TO: Production Manager and Master Electrician
COMPENSATION: $ 22.00 - 25.00 hourly
STATUS: Contract, Seasonal
START DATE: ASAP


ABOUT THE POSITION
Electrician Overhire will assist with the hang and focus of the stage lights for the upcoming production of Death of a Salesman and Exit the King. Electricians will work with the Master Electrician to hang, cabling/circuiting, focus, and programming of fixtures and theatrical lighting for the upcoming production; they will ensure that all electrical components are safely connected before the designer is ready to begin programming for the show. This position will report to the ME and Production Manager.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
-2-4 years of theatrical electrician experiences needed
-Strong working knowledge of theatrical lighting systems, including hanging, circuiting, focusing, and basic troubleshooting
-Experience working with lighting plots, section drawings, and other technical paperwork
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-Experience with lighting consoles and control systems commonly used in musical theatre is preferred
-A positive attitude
-Good communication skills
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
-Must be able to work from heights on ladders, mechanical lifts, catwalks, etc.

Shifts are typically afternoons to evenings. Please note that the times and dates are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. The Master Electrician and/or Production Manager will confirm your schedule with you as we approach the load-in and tech weeks.
