The Lost Colony is seeking a collaborative individual to join the company as Production Supervisor. Pre-season, this person oversees of the operation of the Waterside Theatre for the load-in and rehearsal process, supervises the props team, prepares and maintains the venue as necessary as well as serving as a resource for Lighting, Sound and Costumes. During performances, they are the backstage lead running a track of operation duties. They are a primary resource for challenges, working with the other department heads. This position reports to the Production Manager and Executive Director.
Desired qualifications for this position include but are not limited to carpentry skills, basic welding, knowledge of rigging, lighting and sound, boom lift operation, comfortable with working at height using appropriate harness and fall arrest procedures, and the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis. This person needs to have a track record of working amicably with teams in other production situations.
The contract runs from April 27th through August 29th with the potential of adjusting the start date. Compensation is $1,700.00/week and includes housing and travel. For consideration, please send a cover letter, resume and references to Mike Post at the included e-mail address.
