The Glimmerglass Festival seeks an Assistant Crafts Manager for its 2026 Summer Festival Season.

The Assistant Crafts Manager works as a member of a seven-person Costume Crafts team; they report to the Crafts Manager, and work alongside Crafts Artisans, and Crafts Apprentices.

The primary goals of the position will include assisting the Craft Manager in supervising the Costume Crafts work spaces; managing supplies/equipment; assisting in the setup and breakdown of the Costume Crafts spaces; millinery construction and modification; jewelry construction and modification; leatherwork, stitching, painting, dying; shoe/boot modification; fabric and garment aging; assisting in fittings; assisting in pulling/restocking/organizing items in Costume storage; and possibly assisting the Costume Shop as needed.

Some of the work this position performs involves lifting equipment or boxes to elevated positions. A successful candidate will have experience in either Costumes or Fabric Props, have the ability to delegate, communicate and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Dedication to safe practices, a team-oriented work environment, and the ability to cultivate a positive work environment is required.

Some projects will be worked on independently, while other projects will require working in a group setting. The responsibilities of this position require the employee to be physically present on campus to complete the tasks assigned. This position has offices or workspaces that require the employee to climb flights of stairs. Additional training and workshops may be provided during the season.

This is a seasonal position; employees that work well within the team are often asked to return for subsequent seasons. Commitment to safe work habits and shop practices is essential. This position runs May 18 to August 2, 2026. $18.80/Hr. Housing provided.
