MidCoast Shakespeare Studio is seeking a Production Manager for its upcoming Summer Shakespeare Festival production of Macbeth, in Belfast ME, running April - June 2026. Paid, temporary, part-time, non-exempt employment on a W-2.

Compensation: This is a an exempt W2 position (not eligible for overtime) with an hourly rate of $15/hour. Anticipated 10 hours/wk for 6 wks, plus 20 hours wk for 4 wks, April +ndash; June, 2026. More hours possible if needed during tech and opening.

Location: Belfast, ME

General Responsibilities:
Assists Producer with department deliverables list, deadlines for each deliverable, and following up on all deadlines
Assists department heads with local volunteer recruitment
Maintains budget in conjunction with the Producer
Promotes show through media, flyers, paid ads, social media, etc.
Attends periodic rehearsals, for familiarity with cast and crew
Coordinates with Producer to arrange for local business sponsorships and other fundraising tasks
Communicate and coordinate with Parks and Rec department for access to performance space, safe working conditions, use of park resources, and reservation of park pavilion as prep and holding area.
Attend and assist at all rehearsals during Tech Week, and all performances.
This is a local hire +ndash; no housing or transportation is provided.

Qualifications:
2+ years+rsquo; experience in Production or a related field (management, publicity, event organizing, etc)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with one-on-one interaction with potential donors, sponsors, and members of the public
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience in managing budgets and schedules
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver+rsquo;s license (personal vehicle a plus)
18+ years of age

Candidates with parallel experience such as General Management, Production Coordination work at department-head level, or other Production work will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
