POSITION OVERVIEW
The Properties Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all hand props and set dressing required for the production, from acquisition through performance. Working closely with the Director, Designers, and Production team, this role coordinates sourcing, fabrication, organization, and maintenance of properties to support the artistic vision. The Properties Coordinator manages prop tracking and logistics, ensures safe and consistent use of all items, and supports the smooth, efficient operation of the production throughout its run.

COMPENSATION
$3500-$4000, depending on experience.
TRAVEL + HOUSING
Housing provided (homestay or shared housing, private bedroom).
Travel reimbursement up to $300 (with receipts).
Applicants must have their own transportation or arrange local travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the sourcing, fabrication, acquisition, and rental of all hand props and set dressing required for the production.
Track, organize, label, and maintain all properties to ensure consistency and readiness throughout the production.
Collaborate with the Director, Designers, and Production team to support the artistic vision and technical requirements.
Maintain accurate properties documentation, including prop lists, tracking, and storage plans.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of all properties in accordance with production and venue standards.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing properties for professional theatrical or operatic productions.
Strong working knowledge of prop sourcing, fabrication methods, and safe materials handling.
Proven ability to organize, track, and maintain properties across rehearsals and performances.
Experience collaborating with directors, designers, and production staff in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb for extended periods
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry materials up to 50 pounds independently
Comfortable working at heights, including ladders or lifts
Ability to perform repetitive motions and manual tasks
Comfortable working in shop, stage, and rehearsal environments
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required
